Starting October 15, when the hunting season opens, we will have three central hot lines for hunters - one in mid-Hudson Valley 845-227-5099, one for the Western New York Chapter (716) 648-4355 and one for Deer Search of the Finger Lakes (585) 935-5220.  If you contact us for tracking services, remember:

  • Landowner's permission is always required.

  • You must be able to take the dog handler to the exact location where you lost the blood trail. These locations should be marked at eye level so that you can return to them after dark.

  • Do not walk directly down the blood trail as you track.

  • There is no charge for the services of Deer Search. Members are volunteers who try to help you, however, donations are accepted and go directly to the non-profit organization.

  • Tracking services are available day or night, seven days a week.
